After sleeping off a harsh week at work, I got up at noon yesterday, did some urgent housework and other things that needed doing and then headed off in the early evening to Hitchin' pick up vierkilau.
Found out that listening to one of sogoth's industrial/noise mixes while driving is weird because you keep thinking something's wrong with the car. ;o)
I only managed to find Vierkilau's after a phonecall (bloody subsequent numbering and non-existing numbers on the front of houses). Thanks to vierkilau's l33t navigation skillz found the way to the A1(M) and then to the House of Plot in Egham.
sea_cucumber was still unconscious when we arrived so we just chatted a bit until eggwhite and Steve (LJ?) arrived from their shopping trip.
sea_cucumber was taken out of her coma and pelted with presents. Superhero Cthulhu really left a mark, also with other people ;o)

Was a much good party with fun people, good cheese (both real and music), dancing, joking, talking, drinking (not too much on my part, mostly white wine and cider and a Bailey's coffee made by eggwhite).
My Greek salad was a reasonable success, only one portion left which I'm going to have with dinner tonight.

I only realised what I had said when doris and themadone complained and tutted at me. Well, if they hear only half a conversation, they are to blame if they think dodgy thoughts.

I was quite amazed at satyrica sleeping on the floor while loads of people were still dancing, sometimes narrowly missing his head.

Oh, and Winamp visualisations on a huge widescreen TV are funky. :o)

Rolled up on the floor at about 2am, got up just before 9 after having been awake for about an hour. Suddenly realised that everyone else was up apart from Adam so got up and missed coffee :o(. Packed, said goodbye to people, dropped vierkilau off at home, stopped over at Tesco's for urgent shopping (never again on a Sunday late morning!), got home had breakfast (various croissants and a mug of Blue Mountain coffee).
More housework and other stuff in the afternoon, dinner plans are pasta with a porcini mushroom cream sauce and the leftover salad. Then early night in preparation for another busy week at work...

I still find it weird when anyone not from School mentions Hitchin :) I'm from the A1(M) end myself, so getting to it only involves two left turns and the big Junction 8 roundabout :)
