What would you do if Carenza Lewis knocked on your door and said "We assume there's some archaeolgy around here. Would you mind if we dug up your (beautifully kept) front garden?"

Of course I wouldn't.

I'd let them, but only if I get to play with whatever they give Phil to play with that week and if he tells me where he got that hat. Oh and of course if they give me a trowel and let me get on with it :)

You need to ask [livejournal.com profile] skinny_cartman about the Time Team Cthulhu campaign they played once (i.e. the Time Teamers as PCs).

To think, in Cam a trowel would be classed as an improvised weapon and hence do two lethal damage...

And so it should, if I was to smack someone over the head with a trowel, it would likely hospitalise them if not kill them.

I wouldn't class it as an improvised weapon. I'd use the stats of a Knife - It's not that much of a difference really. Even for the bitty ones.

If I had anything to do with the Time Team lot, I think the archaeologists I know would never speak to me again.

Yeah, they tend to consider the Time Team lot as a bunch of fly-by-night vandals. I suppose that's what comes of working on a long-established site for weeks on end with brushes and trowels, then seeing someone rip open a trench with a JCB for three days of work and making a TV program out of it :)

Archaeology can't be done in three days, that's true.
