Arrrrrr!!!!

As you can guess, I've gone and seen Pirates of the Caribbean. As astatine210 said, you leave the cinema with a very wide grin on your face, going "Arrr!" at random intervals.
Johnny Depp steals the show, costumes, setting, props are superb, there are some very good fight scenes, quite remarkably nicely blended in CGI (much better quality than Matrix R). Also, the film doesn't take itself seriously so it's a very good laugh. Shame about the Hollywood ending, though.

If you haven't seen it, go and do it now!

cut back to the mountain of gold with the chest on it. Camera pans across to view the water; there's the monkey swimming into the cavern.

Monkey clambers up the gold pile to the chest and picks up a gold coin. Turns into zombie monkey and leaps at the camera screaming viciously. Very cool scene!

Makes you wonder if the monkey is going to put some gold into the hands of dead bloke, or if Pirates of the Caribbean 2 will be "Revenge of the zombie monkey" ;)

Hey! The hollywood ending fits perfectly with a hollywood storyline. I was so happy that they A) didn't make elizabeth fall for Jack and B) that Will wasn't some useless wimp to be rescued by the girl.

It's formula, but it's great formula. Though I'll have to see it again for the zombie monkey at the end of the credits.

Things at the end of the credits seem to be all the rage recently.

I always sit through the credits (and force whatever company I have to do the same) as a random cinematic viewing ritual. Finally, it's been showed to pay off :-)

I'd have liked to see them all hanged but then there couldn't be a sequel. ;o)

Or them making a daring mistake, not getting caught and then simply get a pardon...
