Does anyone know this disgusting woman putting a cat in a bin? This was taken in Bray's Lane.

Article here. (via [livejournal.com profile] ulfilias on facebook)

ETA: I should have mentioned this, the video is real. The cat (and CCTV camera) belong to friends of [livejournal.com profile] ulfilias'.

:O :O :O

Can we put her in a bin? And lock it?

Good heavens, that's terrible. Even if you don't like cats it would be cruel, but she plays with it first!

Hope though that the angry people of Coventry restrict themselves to telling the police who she is, rather than lynching her as some of the comments suggest.

The problem is that she likely won't get much more than a slap on the wrist and if we're lucky a note in the RSPCA database as someone who can't be trusted with pets.

Wow. She must have some serious mental health problems.

Serious mental health problems does not equal cruel, evil.
She could be perfectly 'sane'.
There are many of us with serious mental health problems that would never do such a thing.

It looks like sociopathic behaviour to me. I call that a serious mental health problem.

Not really enough evidence to start diagnosing, you can be a dick without having ASPD.

Or it could all be a stunt, and the cat was actually dropped onto a cushion in there, and let out 30 seconds later to a nice plate of tuna ...

... I've grown cynical about these sort of videos.

And yes, if this is real, then the woman should be punished in some appropriate way (police caution, fine etc.).

I wouldn't have posted it if it hadn't come from a friend.

How random (as well as cruel). She doesn't seem to actually think about it, it seemingly just occurs to her to put the cat in the bin with no expression or thought, like she might think of doing something normal like looking at her watch. What a bizarre person.

Prosecute...

You used to be able to give someone 6 months hard labour for animal cruelty you know...

Seconded; she should be locked up for doing something like that.

I hope that video goes straight to the RSPCA and the Police.

(I'm assuming the cat is now out of the bin since your friend has seen the vid, and hope they're ok, poor kitty).

Good to know. Finally got the link to load, sucky net at the moment.
I do hope they manage to get her prosecuted for cruelty to animals.

People always seem to be dead against video surveillance, but it has its upsides.

Absolutely.
I dread to think what would have happened had it been the morning of collection day...

I think the bin men would have heard the cat meowing...they do have to watch out for finding live animals in bins occasionally :/

She's under police protection? WTF?

Yep, because of threats against her - bitch brought it on herself.
And at the moment the police haven't arrested her because 'no crime was committed'!!!!
