It looks like Guillermo del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness will be happening after all. With James Cameron producing. Let's just hope he keeps his fingers out.
I can see it, but I find it distracting. It's a gimmick that constantly reminds me I'm watching a film, so it stops me from being fully immersed in ths story.
That's interesting because 3D is supposed to make it more immersing but I would feel the same way. 3D won't be more than a gimmick until photorealistic holographic imaging can be achieved and even then the integration of the audience will be an issue.
