One of my computer related bugbears in TV/cinema, along with random typing to do stuff:



Yes, there are reflections and if the resolution is good enough, you can get closer (see icon, which is a very tight crop rather than an enhancement/zoom) but never ever from CCTV footage.

Yes, annoys the hell out of me too. See especially the TV show Las Vegas, where they do this to ridiculous extremes - I worked out that in one episode there was something like 100,000 x magnification in one enhanced image.

In future stuff it's a little more reasonable, as they could have much higher resolution recordings, but for the most of it I definitely agree.

Oh yeah, but all the examples in the clip are modern day. Even in the future, you won't be able to look through walls/around corners a la Blade Runner, unless it's a composite of several cameras around the area or some form of IR/X-ray imaging.
