Aural Apocalypse
17 Dec 2009 03:06 pmFor those of you who like Dark Ambient/Neofolk/obscure electronica and similar, I would like to recommend the rather splendid Aural Apocalypse podcast (in case you don't already know it, as
missmerrick regularly posts to
darkambient and similar comms). They are around 2 hours long and you can either stream or download them. The only downside is that the playiists are on a different server and don't come with the podcast.

17 Dec 2009 06:39 pmApparently, the director of this short film (remarkable production values for a $300 budget) was offered a huge Hollywood contract by Sam Raimi to produce a Sam Raimi.
Oh, anyone know what that piece of music is that's over the second part of the film? I've heard this in various films (I know it's in 28 Days Later but is it original?) but I don't know what it's called. Thanks!
[TV] Misfits
17 Dec 2009 11:26 pmNow that was fantastic. What a nailbiting finale and a fitting end, too. I hope they're going to repeat this on Channel 4 because more people need to see this. I was sceptical at the premise (asbo superheroes) but it turned out rather fine indeed. Excellent, tight and funny writing (Nathan just banged out one oneliner after another today) and reasonable acting, too.
In case you missed it, you can watch it all on 4oD (or buy/rent the DVD). I highly recommend it.
