pwca found an LJ RPG (text adventure style) Dungeon that uses friends names for NPCs/monsters and interests as illustrations.
Example:

You are walking through a cramped chamber. 
Carvings in the rock wall illustrate waylon jennings.
Ev1ldonut the rat stands before you (1HP).

ETA: It's getting better:

You are in a cold hall. 
You notice a small shrine to diana warrior princess.
In the dead hand of an earlier adventurer 
is a potion marked 'ALIENDAVE'.

so I stopped playing in the dungeon:

I escaped from the Dungeon of Karohemd!

I killed Wintrmute the orc, Spencerpine the nymph, Kimkali the leprechaun, Ev1ldonut the rat and Elliphant the owlbear.

I looted  the Wand of Thepussykat, the Armour of Hobbsthepenguin, the Axe of Laumiere, the Axe of Fossilised, the Shield of Pwca and 91 gold pieces.

Score: 91

A little anecdote from Sunday

We were sitting in the Royal Oak waiting for our food and chatting away when I suddenly had that distinct feeling of being watched. I looked to my right and there was a grumpy old man in a flatcap looking straight at me with a definite "You're not from around here, are you?" expression on his face that didn't change a little bit when I smiled at him. Scary!
