Slept in far too late so got ready and headed to Grantchester street where I chatted with the Holloways and
jamescat for a bit and read some Tombstone until
whollyrandom arrived.
Drove to Huntingdon and chatted a bit and then started
whollyrandom's one-off Middle Earth/All Flesh Must Be Eaten crossover. Due to drawing two short straws, I ended up with the female "wizard" who actually was quite cool.
As
whollyrandom said so himself, there were a few issues but all in all I enjoyed myself and it was a good way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon.
Unfortunately, we got back to Cambridge at exactly the time I didn't want to get back, which meant I had to deal with hundreds of people trying to get to the river for the fireworks display. At least on the zebra crossings near Mitchams Corner the coppers had the sense to regulate the traffic so I could actually get past.
As there was no way I would find parking, I went home and then took the bus in as I wanted to grab a burger from the Northfields Farm stall. Having missed the display, at least the queue wasn't very long and the lamb burger was very nice indeed.
I'm going to watch the Monk episode I taped earlier today and then probably
Tombstone. Black Celebration tomorrow!
