More NOLA

I just had a horrible thought.
The scenes described on interdictor (someone holed up in a highrise office building in the CBD powered by diesel generators, who's keeping a blog and various live feeds - at least while his ISP is still runing) have something very apocalyptic about them. First I thought like scenes from a disaster film but its much darker, they remind me of films like 28 Days Later or many zombie films. Very scary. Good thing that film zombies are just fiction, even if this is New Orleans...

ETA: neworleans also has some interesting bits now and then.

Can anyone tell me why the computer is supposed to be a "gay invention" and what this woman's problem is?
What's even more strange, the URL on the sign points to an activist group for equality...
And, if the computer is supposed to be a "Devil Machine", why is the sign advertising an internet site?
