Calling St. Louis

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel for one night that's easy to get to from the airport? I really only need somewhere to sleep at night.
I'll be arriving on the Tuesday before ICC but the discounted rate at the con hotel only starts at Wednesday.
My plans are then to do some sightseeing on the Wednesday, move into the con hotel, do more sightseeing on the Thursday and then ICC til the cows go home.

Also, any recommendations as to what to see in St. Louis apart from the usual tourist spots? greebotrill already recommended the City Museum (I'm keeping that in mind should the weather be bad).
