The main reason we went there was to visit the Christmas Market where Heidi's Mum had a stall selling her Platzerl (Christmas cookies). It's a small market (well, on scale with the town) but it had a team of smithing apprentices demonstrating their craft so that was rather exciting to watch (and photograph but I regretted not having a long lens for some closeup shots). Here are a few impressions, again with more on flickr (to be expanded).

They really take care of their old buildings

unusual roof design and plasterwork

More updated old housing stock

Heidi's mum selling her wares

She makes thousands of these each year and sells them at markets and from her farm shop (a proper online to come soon).

Heating a bell

Some more modern methods are also being used

Making a wedge/chisel for splitting logs

I have no idea how I managed to screw up the focus on this one...
