What a horrible day
31 Jul 2001 03:26 pmGah, I'm sick off work due to exhaustion, had to leave at 2 yesterday because I almost fainted going up the stairs...
This weather is killing me, I'm going to move to Iceland.
Anything but sitting down watching telly or sitting at the PC makes me almost faint, even the odd headbang to the music has stars dancing in front of my eyes...
I thought, well, I'll be off sick in the morning, and in the afternoon I can do some housework but that's not going to happen, so I'm trying to chill and do the work after the sun has gone down.
New neighbour is moving into the studio next to mine, another German, a lawyer, let's see if he's OK or will sue me for disturbing the peace in the first week...
Only bright spot these last few days, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is on BBC2 every night at 11:20. Yay! I saw it when they showed on German kids TV in the early eighties, I didn't understand a thing. Most likely because the translation was crap (they basically translated Babblefish instead of Babelfish...) and secondly, I don't think you can understand Adams' humour at 13 or 14, at least not as a German...
Great BBC sfx in Dr Who tradition, and the hammy acting, very cool. Are any of these actors around still? Looking forward to tonight. After that, shower and bed.
Oh, and sorry to the Cambridge lot, I won't be at the pub tonight, for obvious reasons (ill and the pub being straight across the road from work...).
