The problem with having an eclectic and obscure taste in music is that it tends not to be in the CDDB and I have to enter the info manually when ripping. :/

I often have that problem. Although I'm sometimes pleasantly surprised by the weird things that are in the database!

Well, you just have to hope that people like me who enter stuff manually then submit it to the CDDB.

Mm, just think how pleasantly surprised the next person is going to be when they see that you've done it!

I guess that means I have just lost Geek Points as I seem to hardly have that problem playing CDs with iTunes. :-S

Yes, you have. :P
I'll try with itunes on my laptop tonight.

Good stuff, btw.
- Tonal y Nagual (http://tonalynagual.com) are going from strength to strength and I'm not just saying that because they are mates.
- The new Imminent is quite unusual and rather varied but also more powernoise-y than I'm used to.
- Genevieve Pasquier (http://www.myspace.com/genevievepasquier) is wonderful.
- and Pacemakers Inc. is just what you would expect with a lineup like that.

On the other hand, it's not really my fault when one of the 499 other people who might feasibly have a a Limited Edition of 500 beat me to entering the track details. 8^P

And I will check out your recommendations. Sorry that I haven't yet. I will. Honestly.

Ditto for obscure promos.

I find most published CD albums to be there. Singles are almost always missing or wrong and small time bands are rare....but if they have a reasonable fan bases its better (ie rome burns etc, wait 3 months after its been released and another muppet has done my work).

Not when it's a sublabel distributed via an already obscure label (ant-zen).

Coo....I do have some non-distributed things. They have been sat on my 'puter for months now. Shame as some of it is really good.

Musicbrainz is your friend. Although if it's not in CDDB it may not be there either.

It has two of the artists but not the albums.

Amen.
Especially when 75% of my CD collection is self-finaced, self-released, etc.
