[Photo] Roost preview part 2 -
druidess1982 and Nikolai
5 Aug 2009 10:52 amI was actually a bit nervous to work with
druidess1982 because she's a highly experienced and professional model but we immediately got on well and bounced ideas off each other. I felt really comfortable and confident working with both of them (I took some solo shots of her partner while she got ready and then took a series of couple shots) which I think shows up in the results. We are all very pleased with the results and I can't wait to go through everything we did. The following is just a little glimpse.
All shot with available natural light at The Roost.

Very cool!
Also quite creepy, particularly the seventh shot with the fish-eye effect.
The lighting in that first portrait of Nikolai is lovely. The touch of light on the arm gives a good sense of depth without drawing my eye away from his face.

Date: 5/8/09 11:43 am (UTC)Thank you very much! It really was creative teamwork. I'd pick a spot and suggest a rough setup and they would just go for it and come up with their own ideas. I only had to frame the shots and possibly adjust their poses a little so the light was right.
I'm particularly proud of my glass coffin idea. :o)

Date: 5/8/09 11:52 am (UTC)NemiDawn was round the waste.Nice set. The thing is I've seen piccies in the past of her just posing with Chel and her eyes were not happy then. She's showing acts of being 'bullied' in these images yet seems totally relaxed with the subject.
Nicolai is obviously good for her :)
