That would be my objection as well but they'd look cool on the shelf.

Well, we did spend several hours trawling kitchen shops (and kitchen departments of shops) today and we didn't see anything like that.

Nor did we see much we wanted to buy. We are pretty well equipped, we saw no Global (or Kit) knives, Le Crueset is over-priced (we have some identical pans that cost half as much) and all the frying pans were either lightweight, non-stick or both.

This must be an all time first as I am to kitchen stuff what other women are to shoes.

Heh.
The only reason I'm glad I have such a tiny kitchen is that I can't possibly fit any more gadgets in it or I would spend far too much money on them. ;o)
My photographic toy collection is bad enough...

http://www.procook.co.uk/shop/Cookware/Frying-Saute-Pans/ProCook%AE-Titanium-Frying-Pan/d32/sd248?code=1736

These are the best frying pans I've yet encountered (I bought one & was so impressed we asked for another one for our wedding & I'm not just comparing them to (expensive) Teflon or other non-tick pans, but also to Le Creuset & other cast iron pans).

They handle & give effects like good cast iron, are genuinely non-stick, don't have a traditional coating, so one can use metal utensils & have an unconditional lifetime guarantee (I took one back to the shop after about 2 years because bits of the titanium had chipped, but I no longer had the receipt. I had come prepared for an argument about wear & tear, no receipt, etc., but no- the woman in the shop took one look at the pan, apologised & handed me another one to take home.

They really are brilliant & with the current sale prices they are actually quite cheap too.

I clicked through to buy them .. but had second thoughts.
Most of my friends wouldn't be able to resist rolling them, I'd have salt and pepper everywhere!

(and yes, they don't grind)
