Bill Bailey was cool. I also had a reasonable second row seat (with very tall ppl in the first row grr but there were enough gaps. Small venue, too (Riverside Studio in Hammersmith) so I was less than 10 metres away from him at times, perfect for seeing his expressions. In 90 minutes he covered as diverse subjects as evolution/creationism, James Blunt and other music things (incl. a scatted Imperial March and getting a random girl from the audience to play with a Tenori-on), flavours of crisps, his recent holiday and the usual tangents. Well worth trundling down to London for.
Also, gigs starting a 7 mean I get to be back at a reasonable time, can relax and watch The Apprentice Final on iplayer.
ginasketch or
davegodfrey, do you know the barnacle expert at the NHM?

Date: 7/6/09 10:39 pm (UTC)I think I really need to have a good look at Little Boots' album. I liked her stuff when she was on Later... a while back (she used a Tenori-on there as well).
