karohemdI finally figured out how to connect my new laptop to my TV so I get a larger picture but the HDMI connection is picture only so I still get the laptop sound. Bah.
ETA: Even more stupidity. I randomly found a 3.5mm/RCA cable, connected it between laptop headphones out and RCA in on the TV. No sound, only when I switch the TV to PC input. So it might work if I connected the laptop via a Dsub cable but then the picture wouldn't be as good. Rubbish!
