The picked me up after my almost failure to buy shoes (finally found some in JD) and running randomly into psychokatuk and steve_a23 in the street and we first walked down the Royal Mile around the new parliament building and then halfway up and around Arthur's Seat. The weather threatened to turn so we went down the other side and had a late lunch of Haggis at the Sheep's Heid, claiming to be the oldest pub in Scotland. When we had finished the sun was out again so we walked around Arthur's Seat back into Edinburgh where we bought some whisky. I'm now back in my hotel room to rest my aching feet and maybe have a nap, resisting opening that bottle of 18 yr old Bowmore just yet.
