Tech help?
8 May 2009 11:53 amI'm really frustrated with the highly polished screen of my netbook (or that of my laptop). I get myriads of reflections from the windows, the lights above and my own mug which make the screen almost unreadable. What is the point? Destops screens aren't shiny and laptops are more likely used in areas without controlled/diffused lighting.
Are there any products available that would take off the shine while not affecting the clarity and brightness of the screen much? Like a film to stick on or simlar? Cheers!

has a matt side and a gloss side so you have a choice!
we have them at work, they work well.

Date: 8/5/09 12:30 pm (UTC)There's a howto for the Asus EEE range showing you how to REMOVE the built-in anti-glare because it's too extreme!
I'd say to try google/ebay, and try a cheap one.

Actually, the article balljar linked to sums up the situation very well, and it's good advice to buy a couple (or search for a multi-pack). As the article states, it's like fitting a screen-protector to a phone, but times ten. :)
