It's in an abandoned amusement park (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spreepark) near the former East Berlin.

Someone really ought to put the dino back on its feet. Or check that it isn't stuffed with cocaine...

Clearly a case for the SPCA.
Of course, they might be a story to it.
Dinosaur: "I am going to be an actor, I think."
Birdy: "Break a leg!"
Dinosaur: "If you think that helps..."

Thus demonstrating how dinosaurs were wiped out by a meteor:

Dinosaurs never learnt how to duck.

So did I, sadly -- my days of being indoctrinated with Biblical texts at primary school are a long way behind me now ;-)

Haunting!

"Debts at a level of 11 million Euro remained and the area was allowed to fall into disrepair."

O_o

Randomly I found this!

It looks funny and sads.

And reading about the decline, so sad! I'm oddly fascinated by broken-down fairgrounds, I find them quite creepy though too.

*nods* There's a lot of abandoned stuff in the former East. During the GDR period, very little was spent on the upkeep of historic buildings except for a few prestigious objects and the stuff built during the time was cheap and horrible, often filled with asbestos and other crap so actually trying to restore/convert them would be more expensive than letting the property sit there unused.

Yes, they can be very creepy.

Yeah, I just haven't found a caption yet. failblog.org would work, too.
