Something I forgot to mention: Could it be that she's a gaming geek, too?

The new song she played contained the line "my heart is like a six-sided die".
"Normal" people don't make that distinction when they talk about dice. For them, all dice have six sides.

Seems quite possible. After all she took part in an ARG to promote one of her albums that involved collaborating with Neil Gaiman (recent posts on my FL have pointed out that they are/were both scheduled to be at the same bookshop at the same time in Dublin around now (maybe the 9th?) ... each is the "surprise guest" of the other ...

Maybe... it would have been a bit clearer if she had sung something like 'getting you is as likely as a an 18 on a roll of 3d6' or 'oops my heart has to roll on the critical hit table' or 'we can never be together because you use squares and I use hexes'....
