IRAQ HAD SHOES ALL ALONG, CLAIMS VINDICATED BUSH

I wonder if "to shoe" will become a more widely used verb. "Bush shoed in Iraq" (or should that be "shod"?)
The Life of Brian comes to mind, too. :o)

I already use "to shoe" quite a lot. As far as I am concerned it means beating somebody up, usually in the kicking them while they are on the floor sense (or at least ending with that). Though thinking about it I usually use it in a more nouned form actually...

We'd have to disentangle it from that Kruschev thing first.

Heh, even I'm too young to have witnessed that but I'm aware of it as I was told about it by my parents when I was little. :o)

To "Shoe" is also a verb used by the band the Wildhearts over the course of a tour in the early noughties. It basically describes an operation where *adopts pathetic Geordie accent* after your girl has been kicked in the head by a f*cken crowdsurfer, you reach up and nick his shoes like, and chuck them on t'stage. Then the bass player (a big bloke) throws the shoe out to the back of the crowd. Then you can tell who kick ya girl cause he's the one goin' home hoppin'.
They called this "shoein'".

To address the serious thing that the Mash are taking the mickey out of, we know that Hussein had WMDs. We know this because we still have the Christmas card from the 80s wishing us a happy new year from him and oh by the way thanks for all that lovely nerve gas - that'll come in handy against the pesky Iranians (I think Thatcher put it on the mantle next to the one from Iran saying something very similar). So we know he had them, and we can guess how many he used because he left a convenient trail of dead people when he did, the trouble is we can't find what's left and that to me is far more worrying than anything else that's come out of this whole fiasco - if they're not in Iraq... where the hell are they?
