I'm watching the remake of The Omen on Channel 4 and the photographer, clearly using a modern digital SLR when you see him, is developing his photos in the darkroom. Morons.
ETA: Ahh, apparently one of his cameras was an analogue one. They just managed to get out of that. Just. These days, it would be extremely unlikely that a paparazzo would use film because they need to get their stuff out very quickly.
Further: And exactly how did Thorn get those daggers on a plane as hand luggage in this day and age? Diplomatic protection aside, this sure should raise some eyebrows...

*nods* It's actually a rather faithful remake with a few minor changes but feels dated and a bit boring exactly for that reason. The original is a classic I could watch time and again but this just feels bland and lacks atmosphere.
The only advantage is that the mother isn't such a hysterical bitch.
I think the only reason they did it was that they could release it on 06/06/06.

Have you watched it recently? Have you seen the costumes? As with most contemporary movies, it hasn't dated well from a sartorial standpoint.

I've not watched the films. I fly a lot and know a lot of diplomats. Their luggage is x-ray'd as well. Only the diplomatic pouch is not.

He had them wrapped up in a piece of cloth, i.e. not a diplomatic pouch. I guess they couldn't find around this without completely rewriting the story so just left it.
