[Film] Burn after Reading
21 Oct 2008 09:11 pmThe latest Coen Brothers work is a giggle. It lives off its big name cast: John Malkovich, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand (Marge from Fargo) who are all cast against type. Basically, all the characters are losers who end up being in the wrong place at the wrong time (several times) and nobody except the audience actually knows what's going on. It's a bit slow to start off as the characters are introduced but picks up soon.
A nice little, funny (both in laughing out loud and subtle ways) film, so much better than the pretentious drivel that was No Country for Old Men.
