Die Schlagzeile lässt ja schon auf Wildwestmanieren schließen, aber der letzte Satz setzt dem noch eins drauf.

I'm not sure about "Shortly afterwards broke the remaining wild boar insolvencies in the direction from downtown" but I think Google gave me the gist. 100 rounds fired at a bunch of boars? That seems a bit excessive.

That as well. However, I'm not surprised. Police are usually not trained hunters and I doubt that a 9mm bullet to the flank or stomach will bring a wild boar down, it will only make it more crazy. Also, quite a few missed and did damage to houses and cars. ("Hi, I'd like to report a broken windshield" - Insurance person: "What happened?" - "Police were trying to apprehend a hoarde of wild boar and hit my windshield in the crossfire.")

I was referring to the last sentence which states that the boar and the police were involved in a chase and a shoot-out (which usually means both parties are shooting, not just one). If those boar were packing heat, I wouldn't go near them!

Naja. "Rüssel"sheim - der Name ist Programm. Das war mal ihre Stadt, die der Schweine. Und dann kam Opel und hat sie ihnen weggenommen. Dies war ein Aufstand der grunzenden Massen, niedergeknallt von der Obrigkeit, die gleichzeit noch ein Auto und eine Hauswand erlegte, offenbar weil die sich nicht rechtzeitig ergaben.
