Why is the building of a soundproof room so noisy?

They work by using up all the sound-i-ness of the room at the start, and then there is none left for the rest of its lifetime.

I disagree; it's because they have to carry all the potential sound out, which of course is extra loud because the potential sound can be anything it wants when it is removed. Sound is a tricksy beast.

That is precisely what I thought.

If we have a poll I vote for the ticky box... I mean the taking out of the soundiness at an early stage of existence.

Like a fridge makes the room warmer :)

Does the fact that this question inspired only smutty uses for a sound-proofed room in my imagination and no answers to your question make me a perv?
