Just found out that one of my main reasons to go to the folk festival year, John Hiatt, won't be there. He cancelled his whole European tour due to "illness in his family". Richard Hawley instead. Not too bad, I guess but I'd really been looking forward to Hiatt who was in the UK when I was in the US last year. Bah.

If you bought the full festival ticket, I would heartily recommend getting down to the club tent tonight to see the 3 Daft Monkeys.

That is if you're into happy go lucky, up beat folk music you can really dance to.

Excellent. I'm very sad to be missing them, but I have danced for many silly hours to them at dirty pub gigs down south :)
