The new "mystical archaeological drama" starting on BBC on Tuesday has been advertised quite a lot. There was a clip on Jonathan Ross just now and they were studying chunks of wood from "the holy land" with one chunk having "traces of blood and metal" as if "someone was lacerated with a nail and bled onto the wood". This could be extremely cheesy but fun or utterly dire. I'll give it a go on Tuesday (probably while packing) and will decide then.

I just wish the buggering thing didn't clash with The F Word (which has veal calves, so wins all ties).

Some of it was filmed where I work, so I'm quite keen to see it, so I'll probably have a little look on iPlayer, but with my net connection, that is likely to be painful.

I found the bit finding "organic matter" in wood a jarring. It's wood - not a fecking crystal of course there organic matter there - the wood for a start.

Test positive for protien with ninhidrin or similiar would be much better. (From what little I can remmebr from A-level chemistry)

*laughs* Very true but I guess they want to keep it simple. Also, just inserting an "other" would have been enough, the technical details of how they found it isn't really that important.

God it does look awful - but it was inevitable they were going to do this type of show.
