you're on holiday and when you come back you find that a plane crashed into your house while you're away. Still, a lot better than if they had been home. I just hope their house insurance is going to pay...

It's definitely one of those situations that would test whether you're the kind fo person who thinks the glass is half full or half empty. Would you consider yourself lucky for not being home, or unlucky for having a plane crash on your house?

Most material things are replaceable (other than those of sentimental value), my life (and that of any other possibly living with me) isn't.
It's a case of blessing in disguise (the German equivalent is much better, meaning luck in an unlucky situation), really.
