Jonathan Ross just ripped apart Jumper (not just Hayden Christensen's acting but also the pace and content of the film) and he usually gets it right so I'll probably give that a miss.

The Bank Job could be fun from the trailer. Rambo I'll probably skip, but Hellboy II looks very lush indeed. I haven't read the comics so I'll be able to enjoy the ride.

Jump I'm not so sure about. The trailer looks ok, but it also looks like a one trick pony sort of film. Will probably wait until it gets a DVD release.

So do I but I've found that I usually agree with him.

Yes, Ross is pretty much spot on. Shame, I quite fancied Jumper myself from early indications but also, now, may give a miss. Comment made about Christensen being cast in major films was very unkind, and therefore quite amusing.

Though of course he did slate V for Vendetta, and that was possibly one of the best big budget films of that year.

*nods* Then again, he probably was too much of a fan of the graphic novel to appreciate it.
I'm sure Hellboy fans will have various problems with the new film but to me it looks fantastic.

What's the worst that could happen? You sit in a cinema and watch a shitty SF spectacle. How is that not fun? At least it's better than watching a shitty SF spectacle on the small screen, where there is no spectacle, just shitty SF!

Or such is my feeling, but then I went to see National Treasure 2 'because there was nothing else on' and consider the afternoon only slightly wasted, so YMMV.

Depends on the size of your telly! ;)

I'd consider it a waste of money. I usually think for 4.50 (what I pay on a Tue evening) I could have bought a nice fillet steak from the Art of Meat...

Yeah, we saw trhe trailers for Hellboy II and Iron Man before Cloverfield, they both look fun.

We also saw the trailer for Rambo which looked pretty much in keeping with the other Rambo films, except that Stallone now looks like a large lump of wet dough. I was never a Rambo fan, so I reckon I'll give that one a miss.

I didn't really like the Hellboy comics (though they were a neat style) but thoroughly enjoyed the movie without absorbing much from the comics. I enjoyed film #1 in it's own right so hope to do the same with film #2.

*nods* There are two reasons to like them: Ron Perlman in the lead role and Guillermo del Toro's lush, dark fantasy style.
