I don't make soup often because it's usually too much hassle and like to eat things that have a bit more of a texture to it but various veg had accumulated and I don't like cauliflower on its own much so I made a stock (onions, carrots, kale, cauliflower greens, jerusalem artichokes), strained the stock, put in the ja's, the cauliflower florets and half a pint of milk, simmered til the cauli was almost done, added a big handful of chopped spring greens, simmered until those were done, added a crumbled lump of blue cheese and blitzed everything. Rich, creamy and very yummy indeed. I just have too much left over. :o(

Sorry. There's enough for lunch tomorrow and then some. Usually, I have good control with portions, just not when making soup.

Well, as usual I will be cooking for my birthday party (29th of March, if I can get Robin's house again) to which you will be invited, of course, so you can sample some of it. ;o)

I like soup because it is low hassle! Cook everything, and then eat for four days :)

(I have a small problem with an inability to cook a sensible amount of soup for one or two meals)
