A bit like in the style of the Blair Witch Project (handheld "amateur" camera in the centre of the action) but set in NYC, something/one? is attacking the city. This could be interesting or a bit naff (and certainly not suited for those who easily get motion sickness) but JJ Abrams has produced it so I'm keeping my hopes up.

Oh that's what it was! I have seen the trailer for that at the cinema twice now and it never says what it is! I thought it was another Godzilla remake or something :):)

I'm looking forward to this. As long as the camera movements calm down at some point, otherwise audences will be spewing in the aisles...

There's been much web speculation that the monster might be Lovecraftian, even possibly Cthulhu himself, but I expect that's all bollocks. It would be groovy to see the Big C make an appearance in abig Hollywood movie though. :)

I've heard about the Lovecraft connection, too, but that's all part of the (viral marketing) game. As nobody knows exactly what's going on, it only needs a few people to put in a rumour and it'll spread like wildfire.
