This is a selection of my favourite results. Most of them aren't really my style but everything I learned can actually be applied to other ways of shooting so it was all good. Enjoy.

Lots of them are too dark... or maybe it's my monitor.

The problem is that due to the restrictions of the venue, there wasn't much light and the amount is fine on my highspec monitor (and will be printed) but on standard boxes, some of them will be a bit dark.
If I increased the brightness on these photos, there would be too much noise.
I might try and do separate run of the mill web versions at one point.

LOL I do have an exceedingly crap monitor.

It was when I first set up this monitor I literally saw the world with new eyes. So much more detail. Some of my recent work looks dull/dark on my work monitor but old stuff looks rubbish on this one.

This is a problem I have working digitally.

Something can look nice and contrasty on one monitor but flat and drab on another. And it can look totally different again when it's printed!

I suppose you just have to try and check your work on a variety of displays and find the right balance.

That's what I'll have to do, I guess. Or invest in a Spyder or similar.

That might be a Bex, but that is not the Bex. :)

LOL!! All those ladies in sexy dress and my reaction is that Demondaz clearly does NOT know how to play the violin.

Hahaha, you got us there. Sadly, there was no time to teach him properly. Good thing photos don't have sound, too. ;o)

Very nice!

They are quite dark, but I like that. It creates a lot of mood. I think too much light in these sorts of photos makes them look a bit bland and lacking in atmosphere.

But then you know from my work that I'm fond of shadows! LOL

Thank you!
*nods* There wasn't a lot of light, unfortunately, and the main object of the seminar was to use what was there. On the website, the location looked much brighter (http://www.dixcotlocations.com/locations/eclecticbaroque/index.html). It didn't help that it was a really dull day.
I also often underestimated a bit which is my main regret but there's little I can do about it now. Most of them should be fine printed, actually.

Wow, looks like it was a great day.

I'll just have to hope I can make it next time... *sighs*
