So next time she serves you a tagine you know she's cheated.
When you're lucky enough to have a tagine, why not use it? It's just as easy as it cooks on its own, you don't have to touch it at all, just let it simmer and the result is the same, if not better.

The metal skewer through a jacket potato so it cooks quicker is a cool tip, though.

I'm not at all sure what a Tagine is, but I knew about the skewer through jacket potatoes trick from an early edition of Delia's Complete Cookery Course, back when Delia was an awful lot younger, although admittedly, not quite in Nigella's class on the purely aesthetic front.

not really rice (as Morroccan tends to have more couscous and the like) but slow cooked meat/vegetable dishes, like a stew.

Aw, shame! The blog mentioned several times that it would be limited, though.

Sadly, I don't have enough space for my important stuff, let alone trinkets, or I would have.

It has meat, vegetables and all the onions in the planet, and one kind of fruit. And a mix of 44 spices, apparently. Or was that wives of a sultan? I forget.

The high cone shape means that a large portion of the steam condensates and runs down into the dish again so the food won't dry out and as it's a slow cooking method, the meat is really tender.

*nods* I think I've seen it before elsewhere, too, it just wasn't an active memory.

I'm glad I'm not alone.
She's not even my type (although curvy brunettes usually are).

I've been doing that for years

I was going to bring a tagine back but there was no way a decent diameter one would have fitted in my luggage and got back without being smashed :(

a
And then they let me get on the plane with two opened bottles of not-water-anymore anyway, so they would have let me take a tagine on too.
