"Abandoned laboratory of studying a human brain" A series of rather brilliant photos.

Warning: Those of you who are easily freaked might not want to look at this page.

My company firewall won't display the pictures :(

Wow, those really are quite creapy. It just looks like one day they downed tools, walked away and never came back. Its something you would expect to see in a really dark post apocalyptic horror movie. Deeply cool.

Judging by the frequent posts from Russia and other Eastern Block states in the various urban decay/abandoned places comms I'm on, there are a lot of places like this. Factories, hospitals, laboratories, mansions

That's brilliant. I'd love to know the background to those photos.

Poor brains. They were people once. It doesn't seem right, somehow.

But yes, creepy brilliant photos.

Splendid stuff! You can't go wrong with brains in jars! :D

If you like that sort of thing, you should come to Edinburgh some time and take a tour round the museum in Surgeon's Hall. They have a very impressive collection of pickled body-parts. :)

That sounds fascinating!
A visit to Scotland is overdue, anyway, so I might do that next year.

Well if you do, give me a heads-up and I'll show you the sights of Edinburgh. And the inside of a couple of pubs, of course! ;)

Oh Moodie you should go to the Hunterian in London. So many weird deformed skulls and skeletons and dead things in jars, both human and not human.:D

Sounds fab! :)

Our place has a lower and upper floor. The lower floor is accessible to the general public and has your basic bits and pieces, but the upper floor has the good stuff like gangrenous legs and elephantiasis scrotums (should that be scrota?) and things! :D

I'm eager to see what [livejournal.com profile] tinuvielberen has to say about these pictures. The good Doctor is a neurologist.
