Road Twat of the Year
19 Sep 2007 12:48 pmThis award should go to the driver of the black Merc I encountered yesterday on my way into town.
Traffic on Elizabeth Bridge was standing pretty still (there had already been bad gridlock around the Elizabeth Way roundabout) as an ambulance came up from behind. Like everybody else, I moved over to the side to let the ambulance pass as, accompanied by many different beeping horns, that black merc raced past in the wake of the ambulance and squeezed into the left hand lane just before the traffic lights. I hadn't spotted where he joined the ambulance because he was right behind it but it must have been quite a way.
I was actually surprised that he wasn't beaten up on the spot when he stopped...
