Another random observation

Nick Frost (of Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz fame) is exactly 2 years younger than me (same birthday). ;o)

In related news, I rented Hyperdrive on DVD as I missed most of it on TV and I'm not quite sure what to make of it. The characters are a bit meh, even Frost's, just York is quite cool. There's the occasional giggle but nothing special. It either needs to be more original (both in terms of plot and dialogue) or referential to SciFi stuff. It could be absolutely awesome if Pegg/Wright had written it, I guess. Shame, really. Better than Boa vs. Python, though. ;o)
ETA: Finished Season 1. It picked up in the second half and I quite enjoyed it so from a meh to a not bad!

I really disliked Hyperdrive at first because I wanted it to be Spaced in space and it wasn't. On watching it again I quite like it as something easy to watch, it's better than a lot of other crap out there anyway. I feel I have just damned it with faint praise. ;)

I've only seen the second season, but I suspect you may need to be English to enjoy it fully. A lot of the humour stems from the fact that everyone in it is a bit crap, which may not be your thing.

I looked at a couple of clips of Hyperdrive on the Beeb website and thought it was really flat and unfunny I have to say. I've never watched a whole episode, but on the assumption that the clips would have been the "best bits" I haven't bothered to seek it out.
