Synthetic Culture?

Is it dead or just under a different name somewhere else? I tried the website but that redirects to Tarantula which looks like a very similar thing with the same DJs (and others).
Shame about the Egg, really, even if the biggest advantage of it was that it was 10 minutes walk from my crash place of choice...

As far as I know it is no more. One of the promoters stopped any involvment with it a while ago and the other guy carried it on for a while but I guess that the overheads got a bit too expensive for the amount of people they got through the doors.

The promoter who was running SC towards the end still puts on a variety of nights throughout London.

Bum, really. Actually, that Tarantula looks rather good but the Egg was just so conveniently located for me (10 minutes walk from two good friends and a very comfortable spare bed).

Basically the promoter was called by the venue at the weekend before they closed it, being told that because of the venue overheads the hire charges for weekends were going to exactly double.
