After not doing a lot all day, I did some tidying in the late afternoon and then headed to Melbourne. Mr BBQ was already firing on all cylinders, there were loads of people I didn't know but also a sizeable group of local friends, including belak_krin's long lost brother, Alex (or evil_minion but he hasn't updated in ages). I had a wonderful kebab with juicy lamb and veg, an equally lovely pork steak, two chicken wings, a sausage and a bowl of pudding (pannacotta, cheesecake and fruit salad). Yum!
After everybody had eaten, the Eastfields Guitar Quartet played a few tunes and then the really silly "singing/making music" in our corner started. Swearing  Dave played guitar, grokit didgeridoo and belak_krin bodhran (which was later taken up by gandalf_t_black. A very nice evening that stayed mostly dry, too.
I left a bit before 12, drove home and worked on the photos while chatting to jupiter_jones before she went to bed. So, photos, more on flickr. I really should have brought my fast lens because there wasn't much light and I didn't want to use the flash outside in the near dark.

long exposure with slow flash which sometimes causes double exposures when subjects move around a lot. :o)
