Tea has magical properties and will actually help. If it where coffee it would have shorted, wiped your disks, stolen your bank records and hidden 1 sock from each matching pair. This is because coffee is evil.

I think that in the interests of science that you should repeat the experiment making careful note of the outcomes but taking all the usual experimental precautions, such as plausible denial.
