Just listening to Saturday's Bruce Dickinson Rock Show which started with Rage Against the Machine and now Spoonman by Soundgarden! I don't think I've heard this since the last time at the Groovy so, oh, about 15 years ago. Ooh, and Dragonforce later. robinbloke, this is the band raggedy_man was talking about on Saturday night.
Must suppress urge to headbang at my desk...

He's good, isn't he? And some of his recommendations are actually fairly surprising and interesting. Go him. :)

I really like the variety in his sets, from the best of classic rock to new and unknown bands.
He is one of those people who can appreciate well-made music while actually not liking the style. If the general music listening public were more like that, "odd" stuff would be able to get into the mainstream more often.

A mate of mine was running around like a loony last week waving a copy of Metal Hammer magazine at everybody. When we finally got him to calm down, we discovered that his band were in their list of the Top 5 Best Unsigned Bands. How kewl?!
