The simplistic stereo sound (sweeping from left to right) from Star Trek: The Motion Picture is causing odd pressure changes in my ears but my desk speakers are neither very powerful nor set to very loud and this is the first time this happened.

ION, the SciFi channel seems to have grabbed Heroes off the BBC, at least they'll be showing it from mid February.

IOON, the clock on my VCR is still completely erratic...

SciFi is owned by NBC, the network that originally showed "Heroes" in the US. I'm guessing since they moved from a national to an international network, NBC yanked the license from the BBC.

Eenteresting.
Doesn't really make a difference to me but those without cable/Sky will be moaning.

Huzzah!

I'd prefer Heroes to be on a more mainstream channel, since it deserves that and since I'd never have thought even to look on Sci-Fi for something I want to watch, but I'm glad that someone's showing it.

Then again, the BBC isn't exactly known for the consistent showing of series. Look at Monk, which is sometimes shown in an entirely undeserved Saturday afternoon slot, a few episodes at a time and suddenly stopping before the end of a season.

This has been the schedule since day one I believe. Sci Fi show it first, with the BBC picking up terrestrial broadcast rights in June-ish time

Ah right. I think I only read the BBC press release at the time and already wondered how they managed to grab a highly rated US series before any of the private companies (who are usually partnered with major US networks in some way)...
