As you know the recent chaos was caused by Orkan Kyrill. Read the article about this nasty man. It's actually very similar to majic13's little piece last night. ;o)
What I find amusing is the thought that the low-pressure area was named "Kyrill" by a couple living near Berlin. Apparently, the metereologists are now selling what amounts to "Adopt a Low/High-Pressure Zone" and said couple adopted and named "Kyrill".
I think a stern letter might be in order here: "Dear Kyrill, thank you for your postcards from all over Europe. We appreciate the fact that a young weather zone such as yourself needs a lot of exercise and that you are undoubtedly more than eager to go and meet new people. We could, however, not help but notice that your shall we say horseplay has had something of a detrimental effect on quite a few people's lives. Being your adoptive parents and therefore feeling a certain responsibility for your development, we would like to urge you to consider your actions and travels a little more thoroughly in the future. This, of course, does not mean that you are no longer a cherished visitor to our home. I spoke to Hertha just yesterday and she would like me to ask you whether you would be free to come over to ours of coffee and cake at the weekend. Little Schorsch will be there, as well and you could go out to the playground and play on the swings after tea.
