Arrival in Ushuaia and a short trip to the national park. This is pretty much the end. I've got a few from Buenos Aires but they were all taken from the bus so aren't great.

Gratuitous beaver shot. Sadly out of focus and not very clear as it was taken through the bus window.

The Panamericana ends here. Theoretically, you can get into a car here and drive all the way to Alaska (there is a short gap in the rainforest, though). It's only about 48,000km...

A beaver felled this tree

Note: This is the same bird!

I quite liked Santiago. It was nice and while quite hot, it was a dry heat and reasonably comfortable. Buenos Aires was horrible, hot and extremely humid and the city was in comparison to Santiago filthy, even the nice parts (rubbish and garbage bags stacked and strewn about the pavement, lots of litter everywhere etc.).
The people were really open, friendly and easy-going (not to mention gorgeous) everywhere, though.
