Woke up sometime after 8 after only three and a bit hours of sleep and had an hour til I wanted to get up. Couldn't sleep anymore for some reason and just relaxed. Got up when the wakeup call came and had a nice relaxing bath. The tub was a bit short, though, even for me.
Went to the restaurant for a huge fry up breakfast which wasn't too bad and kept me going through the day.

Then it was already time to change for Mage and join the SoE meeting. We hadn't talked for long, just introduced ourselves, when the bomb turned up and I thought it wiser to leave...
The main game started with more people than I expected but ground to a halt rather quickly. Pretty much anyone who hadn't got anything to do with the council meeting was left to their own devices. While my character was actually quite glad not to be bothered (and I'm happy to play the oblivious weirdo in the corner), there was still not much to do which led to a lot of people leaving. [livejournal.com profile] zenmeisterin already posted a number of thoughts and suggestions I agree with. I didn't feel well yet, either as I was still knackered and a bit dehydrated from the night before. I think I must have had two litres of water in about three hours, plus a couple of Aspirin and ProPlus.

During the weekend, an ice bucket went around collection money. I stupidly had agreed that if we managed to raise 500 quid for charity, I would die my hair red. I checked on the bucket and at that time we had about 220. Well, I thought, I'm going to do it anyway and joined Andy C and Cheryle. Two bottles of dye later, my hair was still dark brown (but with a red shine in sunlight(. We didn't have any bleaching stuff so just tried it like that without success.

Then there was the Tremere meeting which I shan't talk about on pain of death with just enough time to grab a quick bar dinner before the proper C/A game started.
It worked quite well. There were multiple rooms, both downstairs and on the first floor so people could spread out. I'm not sure if there was plot apart from those created by the interaction of 150+ PCs, there were certainly no things imposed on us which was good. I think PCs who were looking for plot found it.
One room in particular deserves mention, the Archaeological Discussion by the League of Undead Gentlemen. Well done to [livejournal.com profile] jonnyargles and [livejournal.com profile] sherbertsaucers who not only came up with the idea but went to great lengths to get costume and and part of the props. Worth some extra XP, I think, especially as they didn't play their characters during that time.
The IC closing ceremony was good as well, part of which will certainly have repercussions. Marc Torley as Brujah Justicar Van der Voort (sp?) was godlike and his giving of status to [livejournal.com profile] rich_redcap's Brujah was wonderful.

Then the thing was over. [livejournal.com profile] uknst and [livejournal.com profile] uknc stepped down, activating their legacies. Marc drew the winner of the trip to ICC out of the box, and it was ... *drumroll* ... [livejournal.com profile] grimjim. Tiff announced that Phil would be a dad, only to declare it as a joke a couple of minutes later. I have never seen a man so scared ;o) Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of his first impression.

The total for the charity came to about 270 odd pounds which Tracey Willis upped to 300 and Monty again to 400. It still wasn't enough to dye my hair, though. ;o)
We asked the donors for suggestions and the majority mentioned Imperial Cancer Research, so that's what it's going to.

Afterwards, people just chilled in the bar and soon dispersed.

Cheers for the clarification, Bob. It was all a bit hectic in the end.
I'm sure Colin will post the final result to general.

Memories of ICC came back when the Gangrel walked out of the Conclave, but for different reasons.
