Main reason for me to actually go through the photos was that I was worried there was damage to the camera or photos on the card that was in the camera at the time. I did have read errors on five Suicide Commando pics but that's not important as the ones I really wanted are fine. No preview of Suicide Commando because I couldn't be bothered. :oÞ

Yeah, I'm really happy with that one. Considering what the light was like (erratic and changing rapidly), that's a one in a million shot.
I'll make an icon of it when I get home.

I won't have much of you from the Deathboy set because you were out of range of the good lights most of the time. :o(

No worries about the wait on the rest of the pics - I mean, I'm dying to see them but since we're not actively gigging, we've no use for them but vanity. Having said that, when they turn up in 2007 I'm sure I'll need a reminder of what a great gig it was!

It was, I just haven't gotten round to removing the lock yet. Thanks for reminding me, I'll do that during lunch.

BTW, I managed to finish your set last night as there weren't that many usable shots due to the crap lighting. :o(
I'm going to post web versions of them tonight in a post locked to you and Jase so you can decide which ones you like.

I'm really miffed that the light was worst for Deathboy, the band who made sure I got into the pit in the first place. Other than the two above, I have another five or so usable ones from them. :o(
There are a few where luck was entirely on my side, like the one of lee_chaos in the V mask but those are far and between.
I often gave up trying to do any kind of metering and just set the camera to manual, the shutter to 1/40th and fired off multi-shot bursts in the hope one of them would come out OK...

Cool. I'm going on a big cruise of the Antarctic in December so there should be less waffle then (but a travel diary and hopefully some photos if the ship's netcafe lets me upload them). :o)

Ooooh fun. I got quite good at Sunsets and buildings in Croatia(some of the pics are in my lj gallery) so more of that I think. I might actually be ok at photography by the time I get back. :)

My trip is currently Vietnam, Oz, NZ, Fiji and LA over a space of 6-8 months.
