That was fun. Despite it having worse acting, poorer production values and higher predictability, I enjoyed it a lot more than Crank. Maybe because it was too cheesy. My major gripe: most of the chicks were blondes, there were no brunettes at all. *sulk*
Was anyone else reminded of the pirates in Asterix? ;o)
A minor gripe (and yes, I'm being picky again): Why did all the characters who were supposed to be Japanese wearing mostly Chinese style outfits and fighting some variation of Wushu, with Katsumi's brother doing proper Shaolin Kung Fu? *sigh*
How strange is Devon Aoki, though? She looks unrealistic...

Two trailers caught my eye:
- Hot Fuzz with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost playing frustrated coppers. (coming in February)
- Smokin' Aces which looks like another fun gung-ho action flick ("coming soon") I was groaning when the trailer started with "from the team that brought you Four Weddings and a Funeral, blah and Love Actually" I though, oh no, not another RomCom and then the action and bloodletting started and I thought WTF? ;o)

I liked DOA for more or less the same reason. It was silly and cheesy, but knew exactly what it was aiming for.

Smoking Aces trailer got a similar reaction from our corner of the cinema, and hot fuzz has clearly got to be done :)
