I'm a few minutes into the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is set in August 73 and they're playing Sweet Home Alabama (which was released a year later) on the car stereo.

... that it's a totally true documentary and that those aren't actors, they are the real people ... ;-)

They also didn't travel back through time to film it in 1973 either (bigger grin!)

My brother does exactly the same thing, but his area of expertise is guns (so "they are using AK47s in 1945 ... don't they know what the 47 stands for?" etc.)

Historical accuracy is really not the reason to watch that film.
I think in films like this you REALLY have to turn off your common sense and logic centres.
Otherwise you might embolism...

I still preffer the original, it feels cheesier.
