Odd formatting

What does my last post (Yesterday) look like on your friends page? When I look at it on my page, everthing from and including the thumbnails is centered but when I look at the entry only, only the thumbnails are centered (as they are supposed to be).
Any idea why? Thanks!

ETA: Ah, it seems that if you put the closing center tag behind the opening lj-cut tag that it's basically ignored. How annoying...

Hmm. Then there must be some other reason why every entry on my flist under and including your entry is all in bold... *shrug*

I just saw that and was wondering myself. I checked a few other friends pages but it's only bold in yours so it has to be a post before mine that's causing it.

Well, yes. Think about what the tag is... Its cutting things out. Anything inside the cut tag is not sent to your browser so it can't know there was a close tag in there. You can use this to quite cool effect at times though. :)

But why is it not centered in the full view? Because the cut tag is ignored?

As I understand it, yes.

If you have

[open center]
foo
[open cut]
bar
[close center]
wibble
[close cut]
wobble

Then in the friends/journal view you will have the stuff cut and see:

[open center]
foo
CUT TEXT
wobble

(so no close tag for the centre so foo, the cut text and wobble will be centered)

In the entry view you will get:

[open center]
foo
bar
[close center]
wibble
wobble

So the foo and bar will be centred and wibble and wobble won't.

That make sense?
